Triple Delightful

You cant be part of this week and not be deeply affected. Reflecting on the last two days it hard to process how far the pendulum can swing in terms of the emotions that come to the surface.
Yesterday we started the day at the Home for Sick and Dying Children, and ended the day at the Home for Special Needs Children. God bless the special people who give selflessly to care for the innocent. It was incredibly moving to spend time holding and playing with these children. I will never forget it and am thankful to be able to give them some love and attention for at least a little time. You caulk see and feel what it meant to them. They just wanted to be loved and held. So basic, but so so important.
Between these visits I was able to spend time with Shelley Clay who is the founder of the Apparent Project. Mike Larson had Steve Gran and I meet with Shelley to talk through some processes that may help her better grow and manage the incredible business she had started to help the people of Haiti. This is right in Steve’s wheel house and this will be a great help.
Today was  wonderful day visiting Grace Village which is a “campus” that Healing Haiti has built that is giving a great home to orphans and families and also is a testament about what is possible. We also visited the elders and brought them food and some of the talented crew sang and played. It was incredible! Some of us met Maria for the first time. She is a young 104 years of age! Its impossible to explain her beauty, dignity and faith..especially if you saw the conditions she lived in.
Tonight we had about 30 orphans from Grace Village for “Taco Night”. It was a blast ! We served them and sat and talked with these beautiful kids. To understand the past of some of these kids living on the streets and to see and know that they are now happy and healthy is a reason to give thanks to all those who give so much.

This has been such a special week for me and i have so enjoyed this who are here with me.
